As the new series of commercials reminds us, “before there was seltzer, there was Smirnoff ICE.” The iconic late ‘90s flavored malted beverage is back, with new spokesperson Trevor Noah attending a backyard gathering and dispensing what the ad campaign calls “delicious adv-ICE.”
Noah and his fellow partygoers can be seen enjoying a poolside lounge area all set up for outdoor entertaining, with an outdoor bar, colorful pool accessories, and Infratech heaters. After all, when attendees are having this much fun enjoying some Y2K era nostalgia, they’re not going to want to go home just because the sun sets and the temps drop.
Infratech may not be the focus of the ads, but there’s something we can all agree on: now that the original Smirnoff ICE generation is all grown up and hosting poolside gatherings, Infratech seems like the natural choice to keep the party going.
