Christopher Kempel

Founding Principal

Boutique West Coast residential firm Kempel Architects is led by Christopher Kempel. Long fascinated by the visual arts, Kempel chose to combine his passion for architecture, nature, drawing and building through his studies at the NCSU School of Design and the UCLA Master of Architecture program. He also studied at the Weißensee Kunsthocheschule in Berlin, an interdisciplinary, international program that views society and art as symbiotic.

Sean McAleer is the president of Deck Remodelers, a firm specializing in custom decks, outdoor kitchens, and fire features. McAleer is a third-generation carpenter and cabinet-maker, with a deep knowledge of the landscape and materials needed to create outdoor living spaces that fit the client’s needs and their home’s architecture. McAleer possesses certifications from all the major decking manufacturing facilities in the U.S. and brings a wealth of understanding to all the materials Deck Remodelers offers.
