Last fall, one home in South Central Kentucky’s 2024 Parade of Homes swept every awards category — including a brand new one, Best Interior Design. Built by Caudill Design and Construction, the home is situated in Olde Stone, a serene, gated golf course community in Bowling Green, KY. Interior design firm Embellish Home designed, furnished and decorated the property, with a focus on blending indoor and outdoor living.
Lead Designer Lisa Marshall showed us around the outdoor living area, with its pastoral view of the golf course’s rolling fields. White brick walls, white furniture, and black accents give the space a classic, comfortable feel while the pool area adds luxury appeal. However, as Marshall points out, Kentucky does have a cooler season, so a fireplace for ambience and 4 flush mount Infratech heaters for reliable year-round warmth were essential. “With a flip of a switch, I can turn this on and within minutes, it’s warm and toasty,” Marshall says. “And we can enjoy this [space] as an extension of this beautiful home and take advantage of an amazing view.”
