When award-winning architect and Infratech Visionary Dan Brunn, FAIA, purchased a Los Angeles property with a stream running through it, nature became the central design challenge — and ultimately, the inspiration. Rather than working around it, Brunn built over it. Bridge House literally bridges the stream, stretching 210 feet across the grounds in an architectural move that gives the home its name and its character. Developed in partnership with Dwell, the residence is a demonstration of forward-thinking design where nature isn’t an obstacle, but the organizing principle.
The home’s atrium sits at the heart of the property, where the connection to the outdoors and the natural landscape below is constant. For a main living space used year-round, comfort matters as much as aesthetics. Brunn — who specifies Infratech for his clients — trusted the brand in his own home, adding two SL-Series heaters in black to the atrium after the build was complete.

The surface mount installation made it a seamless addition, with the heaters disappearing into the ceiling and picking up the home’s black accents throughout. Paired with the Universal Control Panel and smart dimmer, Brunn can dim the heaters and control them remotely from his smartphone — for effortless functionality that suits both the home and the architect behind it.
