Staycation!’s Robert Parks-Valletta Shares How Infratech Heaters Add to the Ambience of Nashville’s Fancy Free

CBS Staycation! producer and host Robert Parks-Valletta recently traveled to Music City to get an insider’s tour of Fancy Free, a high-end vacation rental with roots in Nashville’s storied country scene.

Originally a small 1930s bungalow, the property was purchased in 1983 by owner Heather Caroll’s songwriter uncle who took the royalties from a song he wrote, “Fancy Free,” and turned the home into a “writer’s haven.” The home played host to acts like the Oak Ridge Boys before Caroll converted it into a luxury rental after purchasing it in 2018.

With 4 bedrooms, 3.5 baths, a bunk room with even more sleeping areas, plus an extensive and beautiful indoor/outdoor space that emphasizes the beauty of the region’s lush greenery, there’s plenty of room to unwind. Each room is named after a song or artist, making Fancy Free the perfect homebase for exploring the city.

One of Caroll’s favorite aspects of the home is the ability to grab a coffee in the morning, sit on the porch, and enjoy a bit of backyard nature. Parks-Valletta points out how the Infratech heaters make the outdoor living areas perfect for lounging, dining, and just enjoying the beauty of Tennessee.

Watch the video to see how Infratech heats up what Caroll calls “the center of the home” and to see how music, history, and architecture combine in this cozy space!
